HOW WE WORK
-
✽
1. Client Brief
We start with an initial visit to get a sense of how you want to use your outdoor space and how you want it to feel. This is the stage where we discuss budget and what is feasible. Following our visit we will submit a Design Stages and Fee Proposal for your approval. Upon acceptance of our terms we will write your Client Brief and start the project.

2. Site Survey and Analysis
Except for very small, simple gardens, a topographical site survey will need to be commissioned to accurately map your garden and all its features. We will use this survey as the basis for our design work. Next we undertake a Site Analysis which is a review of your existing garden, its strengths and weaknesses and highlight the key issues that need to be addressed.

3. Design Concepts
Using your Client Brief, our Site Analysis and the topographical survey we will develop preliminary Design Concepts in sketch form. These drawings illustrate our proposed ideas in their skeleton form. We will share our ideas with you and agree which approach best meets your requirements.

4. Presentation Plan
Our next step is to fully develop the chosen Design Concept into a full Design Presentation Plan. This is a 2D drawing to scale showing hard and soft landscaping. We will present this to you along with mood boards and 3D drawings where helpful to help you visualise our ideas.

5.Sourcing Materials
We have a wide knowledge of garden materials and accessories and can help can source and select all hard-landscaping items such as stone, lighting, fencing, structures, containers, furniture and sculpture as required.

6. Garden Construction, Specification and Tender
We will provide technical drawings as required and help you to instruct your chosen landscaper to provide a quote and implement the design.

7. Planting Plans and Planting
Using our extensive plant knowledge, derived from years of growing and experimenting with plants and obsessively visiting gardens, we will create detailed planting plans with plants used creatively and appropriately to the site conditions. We will order the plants, set them out on the prepared ground and plant them.

8. Maintenance Plans
When your garden is finished it is really only the beginning! As a living, growing entity it will change and develop everyday. To help you continue to shape it we will create a Maintenance Plan which provides details of what action is needed in the garden over a calendar year. We are also always on hand to advise on a consultancy basis and can help recruit and work with gardeners to ensure your garden develops successfully.
