All parts of the garden are now linked via a series of brick pathways made from clay pavers in a stretcher bond pattern in a blend of warm red hues that tone with the old house bricks and make the pathways look like they have been there all along. Adjacent to the pool a bespoke wooden pavilion was commissioned to provide a new focal point and much needed height to the garden. Wrapped by planting this large entertaining space sits comfortably in the garden whilst providing space for outdoor cooking and dining whatever the weather.

The overall planting concept is the very relaxed and comfortable classic English country garden style including Lavender, Nepeta, Alchemilla and Salvia’s in soft tones of blues, purples and pink and green together with roses and multistem Crabapple trees positioned around the pool to give height and privacy. 

The clients are keen growers of vegetables and cut flowers so a large bespoke kitchen garden was designed and located closer to the house for maximum usage. With well organised raised beds, a new greenhouse and secondary rabbit proof fencing the Kitchen Garden is a joy to work in and pick from.
